Blowin' Bubbles

April 28, 2008 | Bubble Blower

After three years of pointing and shooting with my Canon PowerShot I decided the time had finally come to move up to the world of DSLRs. After weeks and weeks of research I settled on the Canon 40D. Once I made up my mind on which camera to buy I just had to convince my wife I actually needed one. Luckily, I married a wonderful woman who let me get one anyway.

I've had the camera for about a week now and it has blown me away. My kids must think I've had it permanently attached to my face I've taken so many pictures of them. It's so much fun to play with I just can't help it. Right now I have the kit lens (28-135mm f/3.5-5.6), the 'Nifty Fifty' (50mm f/1.8) and I'm saving up for more and or college for my three kids.

Anyway, this is one of the first pictures I took with the new camera. I figure the more pictures I take of the kids to show my wife the less she'll regret saying 'yes'.
